Hyperhidrosis
Excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis, is a common and often embarrassing problem for many people. There are many products which can be useful for treating this, some of which can be bought and some can be obtained on prescription, but if all else fails, injections into the affected areas are likely to give the client the results they desire.
Axillary hyperhidrosis is best treated with botulinum toxin. As well as the effect that this protein has on the neuromuscular junction to help reduce wrinkles, it is also a fantastic treatment acting on the sweat glands to stop sweating. Botulinum toxin can be used to treat underarm sweating as well as sweating of the palms of the hands and soles of the feet. However, these latter two indications require nerve blocks and are best suited to medical practitioners specialising in these fields and we therefore do not offer training for these indications. However, Anti-wrinkle injections for underarm sweating is very well tolerated and can be performed in the normal clinic situation without the need for anaesthesia.
