Due to the fact that retinol products are affected by light, we recommend that Retinol products are used in once a day in the evening, apply a small fingertip amount to the face and massage into the skin. Retinol can also be applied to the neck and decolletage. Although Obagi Retinol 1.0 cream is specifically formulated to reduce the risk of redness and irritation, any retinol product can cause some redness, irritation and itching if the skin is not properly prepared. If this occurs, please contact one of our Obagi skin care specialists at our clinic for further advice. We recommend to reduce the risk of irritation, to use small amounts when you first start using this product and consider using every second or third evening if you do experience any sensitivity. Please be careful when dispensing the product, use the pump gently and DO NOT squeeze the tube whilst dispensing
