Hooding
Hooding develops in some people with age. It is caused by a combination of loose skin, muscle weakening and the protrusion of fat. As well as the negative cosmetic appearance of hooding, it can also lead to an obstruction to vision.
Blepharoplasty is one of the top 5 cosmetic procedures performed and is an operation to remove excess skin, fat and tissue and reduce hooding, eye bags and puffiness. However as it is surgery, there are risks and high costs associated with it. Complications include bruising, asymmetry, scarring, over-correction, drooping, pain, dry eyes, incomplete eye closure and loss of vision.
Plexr uses plasma technology and there is no cutting or suturing, the excess eyelid skin and fatty tissue is sublimated using the plasma beam and there is no damage to the surrounding tissue. Treatment consists of multiple shots and both the upper and lower eyelids can be treated. Results are instant and there is very little downtime, 3 treatments at 6 weekly intervals can produce the appearance that you would expect to have after surgery.
As well as treating the hooding, the area around the eyes can be enhanced by treating the crow’s feet with anti-wrinkle injections , tear trough with dermal fillers , dark circles with carboxytherapy or platelet rich plasma and the use of a specialist, cosmeceutical eye cream.
PLEXR utilises plasma technology, the fourth state of matter, to sublimate skin without the need for cutting or suturing. PLEXR causes no bleeding and there is minimal downtime.
